Privacy policy

Last updated: 30 July 2026

Seryz collects no personal data. The app runs entirely on your phone, with no account and no server. This page spells out exactly what that means.

1. In short

  • We collect, store and transmit no personal data.
  • Seryz has no server, no user account and no sync system.
  • Everything you enter stays in your device's storage.
  • The app contains no ads, no trackers and no analytics tooling.

2. Data you enter in the app

Seryz stores what it needs to work: your workouts (exercises, loads, reps, durations, notes), your routines and circuits, your body weight if you track it, and your preferences (unit, language, theme, default rest, reminders). This is written to a local SQLite database inside the app's private storage, protected by the operating system. Neither we nor any third party can reach it.

3. Nothing is sent to our servers

We run no server that could receive your training data. The app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics tool and no automatic crash reporting. It needs no network connection to work. The only possible network access is one you trigger explicitly, such as opening an exercise demonstration video hosted on an external platform, or opening this website: in those cases the platform you visit applies its own privacy policy.

4. Apple Health (iOS)

On iPhone, and only if you explicitly allow it, Seryz can read your body weight from the Health app and write your finished workouts to it. That exchange happens locally, between the two apps, on your device. You can revoke the permission at any time in iOS settings. If you never grant it, the app works as normal.

5. Notifications and reminders

Rest-timer alerts and training reminders are local notifications, scheduled by the app on the device. They go through no remote push service and carry no information. Notification permission is optional.

6. Exports and backups you trigger

From the settings you can export your data as JSON (a full backup) or CSV. The resulting file is then in your hands: if you share it by email, messaging or a storage service, it leaves the device under your responsibility and under that service's terms.

7. Operating system backups

If you have enabled phone backups (iCloud on iOS, Google backup on Android), the system may include Seryz's data alongside that of your other apps. Those backups are handled by Apple or Google and governed by their policies, not ours. You can disable them in your device settings.

8. App stores

Downloads and updates go through the App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google independently collect install statistics and, if you allowed it, crash reports. Those processes fall under their own privacy policies. We only ever see aggregated, anonymous figures.

9. Children

Since the app collects no personal data, it poses no particular risk to minors on that front. We do recommend that any young person training follows the guidance of a qualified adult.

10. Your rights

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability over your personal data. Because we hold no data about you, those rights are exercised directly on your device: you view your data in the app, edit it, export it as JSON or CSV, and erase it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it. No request to us is needed, and we could not locate your data even if you asked.

11. Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changed how data is handled, this page would be updated and the date at the top changed accordingly. Any significant change would be called out in the release notes.
